If you are using a Mac computer, your name might be showing by default in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
In order to prevent your name from being recorded during tests, we ask that you change a setting in your System Preferences to hide your name.
To do this, click the Apple logo in the top left of your screen and select System Preferences.
Click on Users & Groups.
Make sure your user is highlighted and click the lock symbol so that you can make changes.
Once you have entered your admin password and opened the lock, click Login Options.
At this point, you can do one of the following:
1) Change the dropdown selection from Full Name to Icon for the “Show fast user switching menu as” field.
This will display an icon on the menu bar instead of showing your full name.
2) If you don’t use this menu item, you can also choose to uncheck the box next to the “Show fast user switching menu as” field.
This will remove any mention of your account from the top right of your menu bar.
Once you make one of these changes, we will no longer see your full name in the Apple menu bar during tests.
