You've just installed the UserTesting App for iOS, and now you're ready to start taking tests! Review the sections in this article to learn how:
When you first open the UserTesting App for iOS, you’ll sign in with your email and password for your UserTesting account.
Accept a Test
Once you’re signed in, you’ll see a list of available tests for your device. Tap Take Screener or Accept to begin a test.
After you’ve qualified, you'll see the following guidelines. Please remember these guidelines when completing the test.
Microphone Check
After the guidelines, you’ll begin the Microphone Check. You won’t be able to continue until the recorder determines your audio is loud enough.
Task Button
Next, you’ll interact with a short tutorial on how to use the task button. You'll use the task button to switch between the task instructions and the test website. Tap the minus (-) sign to hide the tasks and view the website. Tap the plus (+) sign to view the task again. You can also drag the button around the screen if it is blocking an area of your screen that you need to see.
Record Your Screen
Finally, you’ll give the UserTesting app access to record your screen. Tap through the instructions until you see the Try It Now button.
Tap UserTesting in the list so that you see a checkmark next to it, and then tap the microphone icon so that it turns red. Tap Start Broadcast to begin sharing your screen with the UserTesting App. You should see a countdown until a red bar appears at the top of your screen and a timer appears next to UserTesting.
At this point, your screen is being recorded. Tap anywhere in the background to return to the instructions in UserTesting. You’ll be taken directly to the test scenario.
Upload Your Test
After you complete and submit your test, your test will start uploading. When the upload is complete, you’ll see a message that your screen has stopped broadcasting. Tap OK to dismiss the message, and you can return to your dashboard to view more tests.
